Unit lesson plans are focused on a specific core concept and integrate technology, reading, math, science, history, and humanities into the individual lesson readings and lab work. Labs are structured to increase understanding and application of concepts during the unit lesson plan. Unit assessments are used to gauge the student's understanding of the material.
We have developed the curriculum with roots based in the Charlotte Mason Method, the Montessori Method, Classical Method and by taking the ideas of Multiple Intelligences into mind with activities and labs. Our curriculum is created by degreed individuals and reviewed by homeschooling parents. Our curriculum teaches not just "what" to learn, but HOW to learn. Special focus is given to technology skills, research skills, and presentation skills.
Spatial thinking is not just about place or geography; it is about the relationships and interconnectedness of all disciplines. To teach a subject on its own can lead to the student not understanding the context of the material.
