The Every Child is Spatial curriculum, is designed by degreed professionals and reviewed by homeschooling parents. The curriculum is targeted to increase spatial awareness of all subjects and to encourage critical thinking and problem solving skill development. Our goal is not to just teach kids what to learn - but HOW to learn.
We started as homeschooling parents who were looking for a curriculum for our own children that integrated technology, geography, and core educational skills that would give our kids the tools to compete in a global marketplace. After realizing that there was nothing out on the market, we created our own with great success. Using combined approaches from the Charlotte Mason Method, Classical Method, Montessori Method and concepts from Multiple Intelligence styles, we created a curriculum that is fun for kids and parents/teachers, applicable to daily life, reinforces concepts throughout the entire curriculum set with cross over topics, and, most importantly, engages the child in wanting to learn.
Please explore our site and curriculum choices and join us in teaching our children HOW to learn and developing it as a life skill that can never be taken away.
How does our curriculum do this?
Weekly lesson plans are focused on a specific core concept and integrate technology, reading, math, science, history, and humanities into the daily readings and lab work. Labs are structured to increase understanding and application of concepts during the weekly lesson plan. Weekly assessments are used to gauge the student's understanding of the material. Weekly projects are used to allow the student to do independent research and learn presentation and speaking skills.
Although we do not target a specific grade or age, our courses come in K-2 and 3-5 levels. K-2 is appropriate for children that are just learning to read to intermediate readers. 3-5 is appropriate for children that are reading independently to proficient readers.
